Showing up for moms in need

Each month, we invite the community to help us bless a deserving mom with meaningful support—something that lightens her load and brings more peace to her and her children.

Share Her Story November 10th 2025

Created by a girl, raised by a single mom, who remembers how far a little help can go.

Plenteemore Kindness Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

If you grew up watching your mom struggle, then you get it.

Some people can’t imagine what it’s like. But if you know, you know.

Any of this feel familiar to you:

  • Waking up to find the car repossessed

  • Going without electricity for days

  • No water at home, so you had to shower at a friend’s or relative’s house

  • Having to move again

  • Hearing your mom say, “I don’t have a red cent” or “I just don’t have it this month”

  • Pretending everything was fine when it wasn’t

  • Bills always late and overdue

  • Borrowing from the check cashing place just to get by

  • No gas in the car

  • Watching your mom ask for help again and knowing she felt ashamed

  • Feeling embarrassed for not having what other kids had

  • Carrying shame you didn’t know how to name

  • Growing up fast because you had to help out around the house

If you know, you know!

Briana Medard

Founder of the Plenteemore Kindness Project

I grew up watching my mom do her best to keep our family afloat. It was just her, my brother, my sister, and me—and even though she didn’t have much, she kept going. Still, life was hard. The lights and water were off more times than I can count. We moved almost every year, chasing stability that never seemed to last.

My mom never complained. She just did what she had to do. But you could feel the weight she carried, and in many ways, we carried it with her. We got jobs young. We helped with bills. We leaned on family when we had to. And we learned how to act like everything was fine, even when it wasn’t.

That kind of instability stays with you. Even as an adult, I found myself repeating pieces of it—fighting to find my own footing. But today, I’m in a different place. I have peace. I have stability. I have more than enough. And with that comes responsibility.

Plenteemore is how I give back. It’s my way of being for another family what so many people were for us—those who stepped in with food, gas, rent money, or a place to stay. Every act of kindness reminded us we weren’t alone. That someone cared.

Now, that’s what Plenteemore does. We step in to lighten a mom’s load so her children can feel more peace, more joy, more hope. Because when you bless a mom, you bless her whole household.

What We Do

The Plenteemore Way

Meaningful Support

We’re building partnerships with incredible Black businesses, brands and community members who share our heart. To come alongside moms doing their best to care for their families but still need a little extra help.

Together, our goal is to provide meaningful support that helps these moms take care of themselves and their children.

Community
Driven

Friends, family, and neighbors keep this mission moving. They’re the ones nominating moms who could use a little extra help, and at times, sharing ideas that shape the kind of support we offer.

For Those Who Get It

We believe in collaboration that creates impact. The businesses and brands that sponsor the project are led by people who remember where they came from. The kid who saw their moms doing everything she could with what she had. Now that they’ve made it through, they’re using what they have to reach back and help another family do the same.

By partnering with Plenteemore, you're not just giving back. You're helping rewrite stories for the next generation. You’re helping shape what these children will remember about this season.

Know a Mom Who Deserves A Little Love and Support?

How It Works

See.

Sometimes it’s right in front of you. There’s a mom you see all the time. At work, at school drop-off, in your neighborhood. She’s doing her best for herself and her children, but you can tell she’s carrying a lot. Most people don’t say anything. They keep moving. But what if you didn’t? What if you stopped long enough to notice? To care? To believe she’s worth a little help and a moment of kindness? Because for a mom in a season of struggle, to know that someone saw her and cared enough to bless her and her children can mean the world. Sometimes it starts with simply opening your eyes.

Share.

When story submissions open each month, tell us about her. We want to know what this kind of support would mean for her and her children. How could it help lighten her load? How could it bring more peace to her home? If you’re sharing your own story, that’s okay too. We know opening up can feel vulnerable, but we read every story with care and without judgment. The story helps us understand the situation and the kind of impact this support could have.

Submit.

Once you’ve shared the story, HIT SUBMIT. Our team reads every single story and selects one mom to receive meaningful support that helps her keep going for herself and her children.
